Weber Spirit E330 Grill Review Introduction

Weber E330 Gas Grill OpenThe Weber Spirit E330 is a gas grill that uses liquid propane and features Weber’s original gas grilling system. It uses an electronic crossover ignition system to light all three main burners and the side burner. This gas grill features three stainless steel burners and one side burner, which offer 424 -square inches of cooking area and 105 -square inches for warming. In addition, a the Weber Searing Station adds additional concentrated heat to sear meat to retain flavor and rival that high-end steak house taste. This grill features cooking grates made with porcelain-enameled cast-iron and porcelain-enameled Flavorizer bars. These features come together offering grillers the ability to perfectly cook their meat and side dishes all in one place.

Out of the Box & Initial Setup

The Weber Spirit E330 comes well packaged that appears to be undamaged upon delivery; however, many have reported the grill came with dented parts. This suggests that damage to most grills occurs prior to the shipping process and may be an issue with quality control. This grill is on the heavy side with a shipping weight for this grill is 133 pounds. You may need a friend’s help and a hand truck to move it where it needs to go.

Grill assembly takes approximately two hours but is fairly easy to put together. The visual instructions are easy to follow for the most part; however, at least two people noticed a slight discrepancy concerning a condiment holder that is no longer a feature of this particular grill. I suggest looking over each step in the instructions before starting the grill assembly.

Weber Spirit E330 Performance

Weber is a trusted name in the grilling world, and the Spirit E330 definitely delivers. This grill cooks meat perfectly because it heats evenly across the grill and the grates retain heat. It does take approximately 10-15 minutes to preheat but should reach up to 500 degrees within 10-15 minutes. The fuel gauge is an excellent feature to help achieve the perfect temperature for your meat. The Searing Station is a new addition to the product line. Having a dedicated portion of the grill that allows for greater, controlled heat, facilitates more precision grilling and allows you to create all of those TV-ready steaks every weekend, without any hassle.

The porcelain-enameled cast iron grates do not need seasoning and are easy to clean, which I find to be a great feature. However, some who have used this grill have reported that the porcelain-enameled grates are more susceptible to rusting issues than stainless steel grates after about a year of use. The grill itself provides enough room to cook 12 burger patties (three deep, four across) along with any side dishes or sauces thanks to the side burner. The flavorizer bar catch drippings that smoke to provide added flavor to meat.

Drippings that are not caught by the flavorizer bar drain into the grease management system, which help prevent flare-ups in the grill and clogs in the burners. The main two complaints about this grill concern cosmetic issues that include arriving dented and rusting issues, though Weber’s excellent customer service sends out replacement parts quickly. To get a better product, one would have to spend hundreds more on the Napoleon LEX. All in all, we liked the Weber Spirit E330, it’s a solid grill at a solid price.
